Over the course of his 25 years as an attorney and law firm leader, Ajay has been guided by the belief that providing valuable counsel is not a matter of selling a product, but identifying and pursuing solutions to the particular challenges his clients face today, and anticipating the challenges that await over the horizon. Ajay brings this approach to bear in his representation of clients in the structured finance and real estate capital markets sectors, in guiding clients through mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, joint ventures and cross-border strategic transactions, and in facilitating venture funding for ambitious companies in the seed, pre-series and Series A stages of their growth cycles.
Ajay and his wife Pamela serve the civic interests of the Philadelphia Region through the Pamela and Ajay Raju Foundation. In the decade since its founding, the Raju Foundation has developed, incubated and steered a pair of student leadership incubators, The Germination Project and The Ten, a solutions-based news outlet, The Philadelphia Citizen, and The Ark, a consortium of players from the philanthropic, life sciences, public health, and supply chain management sectors, combining their expertise to effectively combat future pandemics and other public health crisis.
A sought-after thought leader, Ajay is a frequent panelist on 6ABC’s Inside Story and the host of the peer-to-peer interview program Overheard at Two Liberty. Ajay also sits on a number of civic boards, including the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, the Zicklin Center at Wharton, the President’s Council at Temple University and the Research Council at Penn Medicine.
